Creamy Vanilla Yogurt Protein Sip Smoothie
This smooth, mild-tasting vanilla yogurt smoothie is designed for GLP-1 users with very low appetite, providing a lot of protein and calories in a small, easy-to-sip portion. Its gentle flavor, cool temperature, and light texture help you get nutrition down even when you don’t feel like eating much.
Ingredients
- 200 g plain greek yogurt (2% or 5% fat)
- 40 g unflavoured or vanilla whey protein powder
- 80 g firm silken tofu — cubed
- 60 g ripe banana — sliced and frozen
- 200 ml lactose-free milk or fortified soy milk — chilled
- 3 g pure vanilla extract
- 60 ml cold water optional
Instructions
- Add the chilled milk, cold water (if using), Greek yogurt, and silken tofu to a blender jug.
- Sprinkle in the whey protein powder and add the vanilla extract on top.
- Add the frozen banana slices last so they sit closest to the blades.
- Blend on low speed for 20–30 seconds, then increase to high and blend for another 30–45 seconds until completely smooth and lightly frothy.
- Pause and scrape down the sides if any powder sticks, then blend again briefly to fully combine.
- Taste and, if the texture feels too thick for your appetite, blend in a little extra cold water or milk until it’s easy to sip slowly.
Tips for GLP-1 users
If your appetite is very low, pour the smoothie into a small glass and sip it slowly over 20–30 minutes; this keeps the portion visually less overwhelming while still delivering high protein and calories.
Use lactose-free yogurt and milk or fortified soy options if dairy bothers your stomach, as gentler digestion can make it easier to take in enough nutrition on GLP-1 medications.
